MONACO CHAIN

Istanbul, Turkey | 2024 | In Progress

Monaco Chain’s new flagship store in Istanbul redefines the retail experience through innovative design and fabrication, inspired by the brand’s forward-thinking approach to jewelry. The store embraces a minimalist, monochromatic palette, enhanced by sinuous curves that shape the interior into a fluid, dynamic space. These curves serve both an aesthetic and functional purpose, with grooves in the walls elegantly displaying jewelry and those in the ceiling integrating lighting seamlessly. Central to the design is a 360-degree reception desk that facilitates customer interaction while maintaining a soft, rounded form that aligns with the store's design sophistication.

The walls and ceiling are designed as a cohesive, flowing entity, intended to be panelized and 3D-printed, while cascading crystal chandeliers made of delicate, hanging strands add a touch of luxury and refinement to the space, and metallic furniture, such as stools with abstract forms, reinforce the store’s curvilinear aesthetic.

The exterior contrasts this organic approach, featuring a clean, white façade with a large, curved glass window that offers a full view of the sophisticated interior. The rounded edges of the window frame create a soft, inviting contrast to the more traditional architecture of the surrounding buildings. The simplicity of the exterior design highlights the intricate, organic forms within, making a striking visual impact on passersby and reflecting Monaco Chain’s innovative spirit.
